New Website Launched
23/01/19
Hello! It’s a new year and a new website: welcome to denzilmeyrick.com. This is the place where you can find out what I’m going to be up to.
If you follow me on Twitter (@Lochlomonden) or Facebook (Denzil Meyrick Author), you’ll know that it’s been an exciting few years, and the last year or so has been especially so. DCI Daley and his friends have taken me to places I never thought I’d go.
I’ve appeared at Festival’s ranging from Bute Noir, The Edinburgh International Book Festival, to Bloody Scotland and Mord Am Hellweg, Europe’s biggest crime fiction festival, held in Germany. I’ve also signed books and appeared at events in numerous bookshops and libraries across the country from Aberdeen to London. I even had an invitation to see the First Minister. 2018 was certainly a busy year, and this year looks to be just as busy.
Over the next weeks and months I’ll let you know when and where I’ll be talking about my books, whether it be at book festivals, bookshops, libraries or in the media. Last year I was on BBC Radio on a number of occasions. And following a news piece about my writing career on BBC news I had a million hits on my social media channels.
On this website, I’ll blog tirelessly. And be ready for a surprise or two – maybe three! Here you’ll also find ‘Hamish’s Top Ten Fish’, and Annie’s ‘Tips on how to manage everything from hangovers to a broken heart’.
So what are the other plans for this website, you ask? Well, it’ll be like being on my shoulder: whether I’m writing, out and about, or chilling (a modern term for relaxing, apparently) you can come with me via denzilmeyrick.com. There will be exclusive videos, a brand new podcast, as well as competitions, exclusive offers and the availability of signed books and Daley merchandise. And let’s not forget the ‘Thoughts of Brian Scott’, where the great man will mull over and solve the world’s problems in his own inimitable style. At this very moment he’s wrestling with a particularly difficult problem. I’m sure he’ll sort it.
Oh yes, we’re pushing the envelope . . . well, a bit. Okay, doing lots of stuff (no hard sell here!)
And then there are other projects. Shhh . . . can’t say too much, but you’ll love them!
Anyway, to begin this extravaganza – and true to the nostalgic leanings of a man my age – a look back at 2018 in pictures and sound.
Look out for ‘Brian Does Brexit’ next week.
